Kymco restricted as in moped' lcinese plate class top speed?? I know of a guy who removed a CDI restricter /ignition rev limiter from a Kymco, jumper wired limiter to no limit and resold it- the new owner was timed doing 40 mph by a officer who knew the moped plate meant top speed of 30 mph here in wisconsin. Pulled over rider, found he didn't have motorcycle lcinese, asked about top speed and rider said so what, was within speed limit so stop bothering me pig- or words to that affect. Rider said he bought it that way, was told it was faster than other mopeds by seller. Tickets for false registration, no proper drivers lcinese for vehicle class, falsification of title application, obstructing officer. scooter impounded, bond amount $ 1000.00 for rider with bad attitude. Point is the Kymco and others with CDI control box's best left stock or watch your mouth.
